It took two trips for me to fall in love with Disney – not just with the Mouse but with the atmosphere, the food, the people! I am honestly not someone who can say Disney has always been a big part of my life. Of course I watched Disney movies, but my first trip to Walt Disney World was when I was sixteen, and I was there to play a softball tournament which I consequently got to go to the Magic Kingdom. My second trip was in college when I was nineteen, and again, I was there for a softball tournament. After the second trip, I decided this must be my life! After college I applied and accepted a Professional Internship at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and what was supposed to be six months turned into four years! In that time, I had the opportunity to sail with Disney Cruise Line, stay at almost every resort at Walt Disney World, participate in Run Disney races, experience special events, work at all four of the Walt Disney World parks and five different resorts, gain an immense amount of knowledge and last but certainly not least, find my Prince Charming.
My husband, Jon, and I met working at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We got engaged while watching Wishes on the beach at the Polynesian Village Resort and got married in the Town of Celebration just outside Walt Disney World. We moved to Tennessee in 2010, but we often go back to Walt Disney World with our two daughters – Anna and Belle. There is no greater joy than seeing something you love through your children’s eyes while still being able to bring out the kid in yourself! From Dole Whips or homemade cookie sandwiches at the Magic Kingdom to listening to a piano man at the Boardwalk or taking a day to relax at the resort, every moment for us is magical.
I have a huge passion for all things Disney, and I love to share my knowledge and help others make memories they will remember for a lifetime. While planning trips for others, I think I get more excited for them about their trip than even they do. Whether there are kids going or an adult only trip, I know they will never forget the experience of Disney. I am thankful and feel extremely blessed to have been asked to join JK Mouse Travel and know with my expertise I can help you have a magical, one of a kind Disney vacation.
